SANCTION #: SN131448 - 2026 / Y3806 Auburn, Washington Green River Natural Area
The quiet and peaceful Green River Natural Area route starts on the Enumclaw plateau and descends a steep valley wall, through a shaded mix of evergreen and hardwood trees, to views of the Green River. This 1,140-acre park sits in the middle stretch of the Green River. Towering evergreens and huge big-leaf maples shade the well maintained trails at this King County Park. You may see coho, chum, and chinook salmon and steelhead when they spawn in the critical habitat waters of the Green River. During the fall salmon runs, you may also see or hear the many eagles that gather to feast. Enjoy the quiet and solitude that this park offers!
